On Tuesday, Apple announced a new subscription package intended for people whose work depends on making images, sound, and video. The company is calling it Creator Studio. For a monthly payment of $12.99, or $129 for a full year, subscribers will receive a group of creative applications that have until now stood apart, each with its own price and purpose. Alongside the apps themselves, the bundle also promises extra, paid material within Apple’s iWork programs.

The subscription gathers together Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Pixelmator Pro for use on both Mac and iPad. It also includes Motion, Compressor, and MainStage on the Mac. Apple said that Freeform will be added to the package later, making it available across iPhone, iPad, and Mac. On the iPad, the app will also introduce Montage Maker for faster editing and Auto Crop, designed to adjust framing automatically.
Logic Pro Updates, Music Tools, and Pixelmator Pro Expansion
Apple said that Logic Pro will also be updated, adding a set of new tools that include Synth Player, Chord ID, an expanded sound library, and a search system that works through ordinary language rather than fixed commands. The company noted that the subscription will also cover MainStage, software that allows a Mac to function as a musical instrument, a processor for voice, or a guitar setup, depending on the user’s needs.
Pixelmator Pro, a design application Apple acquired in 2024, will arrive on the iPad for the first time, extending its editing capabilities to a wider range of users. The app will support Apple Pencil fully and is designed to handle image editing with speed and precision.
Motion Graphics, Visual Effects, and Export Control Tools
The bundle further includes Motion, Apple’s tool for building motion graphics and visual effects in both two and three dimensions. Alongside it is Compressor, which works in tandem with Final Cut Pro and Motion to give users more control over how their work is prepared and delivered for distribution. Together, these tools are meant to cover the final stages of creative production, from assembly to output.
In a statement, Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, described Creator Studio as a package intended to lower barriers for creators while helping them refine their abilities. He said the subscription brings together Apple’s most capable tools for video, music, imagery, and visual work, and strengthens them with intelligent features designed to speed up and simplify everyday tasks.
Premium iWork Content, Templates, and Experimental Features
Within Pages, Numbers, and Keynote, the Creator Studio subscription opens a new section Apple calls the Content Hub, a single place where users can draw from a collection of carefully produced photographs, graphics, and illustrations. Alongside this, Apple is adding a range of paid templates and themes to all three apps, aimed at giving users finished structures rather than empty pages.
The subscription also grants early access to experimental features in Keynote. These include tools that can turn a written outline into a first draft of a presentation, produce speaker notes from existing slides, and tidy layouts by correcting spacing and alignment. In Numbers, subscribers will be able to create formulas and fill tables automatically through pattern recognition, a feature Apple refers to as Magic Fill. The company added that Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Motion, Compressor, and MainStage will still be sold as one-time purchases through the Mac App Store, and that free versions of Numbers, Pages, Keynote, and Freeform will continue to be offered.
