The OnePlus Watch 3 made its way into a number of global markets in February last year, where it stood as the company’s leading smartwatch. It featured a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display, with a stated peak brightness of 2,200 nits. There are now indications that the firm is preparing the next model in the line. The successor, expected to bear the name OnePlus Watch 4, has reportedly appeared on a certification platform, a sign that its arrival may be near. At the same time, several of its likely specifications and features have begun to circulate online.

OnePlus Watch 4 Model Number Leak and What It Could Mean

In a message shared on X, the tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore (@Sudhanshu1414) claims that the OnePlus Watch 4 has secured certification from Europay, Mastercard, and Visa, grouped under the EMVCo standard. The device is said to be listed with the model number XL905, a detail that lends weight to the idea of an impending launch. The same source has also outlined some of the smartwatch’s expected features and hardware, though these particulars, for now, rest on report rather than confirmation.

OnePlus Watch 4 Expected Hardware and Features Begin to Surface

The OnePlus Watch 4 is thought likely to arrive with a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display, carrying a resolution of 466 by 466 pixels, set within a 47mm case. It may rely on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor, though this has not been confirmed. Reports also suggest a 646mAh battery, which would place it among the more enduring devices in its class. There is talk, too, of an IP69 rating for resistance to dust and water, and of the watch running on Wear OS 5.0. For the present, however, these claims rest on uncertain ground, and would be better received with a degree of caution.

If introduced, the device would follow the OnePlus Watch 3, which entered global markets in February 2025 at a price of $329, or about Rs. 29,000. That model was made available in Emerald Titanium and Obsidian Titanium finishes. The new watch, should it appear, would be expected to take its place, though what changes it may bring in practice remains to be seen.

A Quick Recap of OnePlus Watch 3 Specifications

To set the matter out plainly, the OnePlus Watch 3 is fitted with a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display, capable of reaching a peak brightness of 2,200 nits. It is covered by sapphire crystal glass and framed with bezels made from a titanium alloy. The company states that the device meets MIL-STD-810H standards and carries an IP68 rating for resistance against dust and water.

OnePlus Watch 4 Performance, Storage, and Battery Capabilities

The watch runs on a Snapdragon W5 processor, accompanied by a BES2800BP microcontroller unit, and includes 32GB of internal storage. Its battery performance is described in terms that suggest endurance: up to five days in what is called smart mode, or as much as 16 days when placed in a more restrained power-saving setting, all on a single charge.

Final Words

Leaks such as these are not an unexpected surprise in the rhythm of product cycles, but rather a drumroll. Assuming the news does not change, the OnePlus Watch 4 seems to be set to enter the market with the familiar swagger instead of the theatric panache. Listings of certifications and claims by tipsters tend to draw the outline, rather than the portrait. Until Oneplus itself unveils the veil, the Watch 4 will be a well-dressed rumor, trying on specs in the mirror.

At least this is an indication that OnePlus is not satisfied to linger in the ever-growing smartwatch market. The Watch 4 will either be an upgrade worth having or a nice follow-up, depending on how it is executed, priced, and a touch of that indefinable wow factor. The smart watch world is waiting, until then, with interest.
