Geekbench results have provided an early look at the iQOO Neo 12 and iQOO Pad Pro, two devices expected to launch in China on October 28. The listings identify their processors, memory capacities and operating system, giving a clearer picture of the hardware planned for the new phone and tablet.

Both are expected to use Qualcomm’s latest flagship chip and run Android 17. Their benchmark scores are also close, though the results alone cannot establish how the devices will perform in everyday use. Pricing and several other specifications remain unconfirmed.

The two devices have appeared in Geekbench’s database under different model numbers. The iQOO Neo 12 carries the identifier Vivo V2618A and registered 3,172 points in the single-core test, followed by 10,689 points in the multi-core test. The iQOO Pad Pro, listed as Vivo iPA2693, scored 3,118 and 10,523 points in the respective tests.

The phone therefore holds a narrow lead in both measurements. Tech blogger Anvin (@ZionsAnvin) identified the devices in a post on X, ahead of their expected launch in China on October 28. The listings point to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 as the processor powering both products. Its eight CPU cores are divided into two groups: six run at 3.63GHz, while the remaining two reach 4.61GHz.

Memory capacity is not the same across the devices. The iQOO Neo 12 is recorded with 16GB of RAM, against 12GB for the iQOO Pad Pro. Both entries also name Android 17 as the operating system. These benchmark records reveal some of the hardware, but they leave the final specifications and prices unanswered.

Battery life and display specifications set the two upcoming iQOO devices apart. The Neo 12 has a slightly better showing in Geekbench, leading the Pad Pro in both CPU tests. The difference is small, however, and the scores offer only a limited measure of real-world performance.

iQOO plans to launch both devices in China on October 28. The Neo 12 will combine a 9,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging. Its 2K screen will support refresh rates of up to 185Hz. The company says the phone can deliver as much as 11.6 hours of MOBA gaming or 29.9 hours of short-video playback. These figures offer an indication of its claimed endurance, though actual results will depend on how people use the device.

The Pad Pro 8.8 will have a smaller, 8.8-inch OLED panel with a refresh rate of 165Hz. It will draw power from a 9,020mAh battery. iQOO has also fitted the tablet with an active cooling fan, which should help manage heat under demanding workloads. The device weighs 298g and measures just 5.74mm thick. Its combination of a large battery and slim body makes it a different proposition from the Neo 12.

Final Words

In the end, the iQOO Neo 12 and iQOO Pad Pro look like they’re going to be solid choices for performance enthusiasts, as both feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The Neo 12’s 9,000mAh battery, 100W charging and 185Hz refresh rate might be attractive to mobile gamers, and the Pad Pro’s 8.8-inch OLED display is paired with an active cooling fan in an exceptionally thin design.

But the Geekbench scores are only part of the picture. The actual performance, thermal management, battery life and cost of these devices will be the deciding factors in whether or not they fulfill their initial promise. The rest of the details should be clearer soon as the devices are expected to hit the Chinese market on October 28.
