Nowadays, people have fallen in love with the idea of having ‘celebrity-like eyebrows.’ This obsession may be new, and the urge to get ‘fuller’ eyebrows becomes a little too hard to endure. But many are also worried about weighing their options, which will make them step back from permanently ‘tattooing’ their eyebrows. They begin to wish about a way they could test how pencilling your eyebrows would look for a change. Luckily, you can now go for a hassle-free solution to this problem- Microblading. Since microblading is not permanent but makes your fake eyebrows look so natural, you will be keen to try it out once!

What Is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent solution which creates soft, natural-looking eyebrows with zero tension. This kind of eyebrow architecture involves using a small pen with a nib bearing tiny needles. These teeny tiny needles create fine, realistic delicate strokes of natural hair on the epidermis or outer skin layer.

Microblading is not exactly the same as tattoos. While tattoos are permanent and last forever, that is not the case with microblading your brows. It is a semi-permanent way of introducing realistic fake eyebrows whose colour fades within 18 months.

Since a needle is used to conduct microblading, the eyebrow strokes appear to be more natural and finer than tattooing. The pigment used in microblading fades away over time as your body metabolises it. The dye present in the pigment helps in giving a more realistic look as it is less concentrated in microblading ink. Do not forget to check out how to remove microblading if you begin to weigh your options.

Benefits Of Microblading

1. Save A Great Deal Of Money

Microblading is considered as an investment as it lasts for about 3 years, if proper care is taken. Just imagine how much you spend on eyebrow waxing, shaping, tweezing, brushes and pencils. So, you can save a lot by investing in microblading.

2. No Worries About Getting Eyebrows Smudged

Since the ink used in microblading does not smudge or smear, you can freely immerse in swimming pools, saunas and jacuzzis. You need not care about getting your eyebrows smudged as that is not going to happen.

3. The Results Are Long Lasting

If you take proper care of your eyebrows after microblading, no one can stop it from lasting for about 3 years! To make sure that it lasts longer, go on a six month check up so that you are pleased with the results.

4. Safe And Effective Procedure

With microblading, you do not have to worry about pain or after effects as there are none. That’s right! You can now enjoy perfectly shaped eyebrows without experiencing any complications.

7. No Problems Of Colour Fade

8. No Expensive After-Treatment

After microblading your eyebrows, no expensive treatment processes are needed to keep your eyebrows in shape. So, you can continue with your normal life. The only difference will be that now you will have perfect and natural-looking brows.

How Long Does Microblading Last?

Since the process of microblading is semi-permanent, it will not last forever like tattoos. Instead, you will gradually see the tattoo fading off within 1 to 3 years. This depends on factors like skin type, brow colour, sun exposure and salt water exposure, lifestyle and smoking. The deficiency of Iron and your eyebrows coming in contact with chemical peels can also cause the colour to fade quickly.

The pigment of the needle for microblading is injected into the dermis, the second layer of skin, and not the epidermis. This is because the dermis is comparatively more stable than the outermost layer, which makes the pigment last. If the pigment had been deposited into the epidermis, it would have vanished within 1 to 3 months. This is because the epidermis always renews itself, making the pigment particles vanish.

A microblading specialist will advise you to come in for a checkup after four weeks to ensure that the results are pleasing. After one year of this treatment, it is better to come in for regular checkups to maintain originality. This will also ensure that your micro-bladed eyebrows do not fade and disappear just yet.

After-Care Required For Microblading

You must keep a certain list of measures in mind after getting your brows done. For about a week post-treatment, stay miles away from getting your eyebrows sweaty or wet. If you are an athlete or one who performs daily workouts, put a ban on it for one week. If that is not possible, cover your brows with an ointment. This will help sustain the pigment. Also, keep any wounds or cuts clean as well as bacteria-free.

Keep your eyebrows covered for the first 24 hours after your micro blading appointment using an antibacterial ointment. After that, switch to a lubricating ointment which you must apply for seven days. Do not apply any chemical pigments or acids to the area, as these will cause the pigment to fade away. Also, do not irritate any scabs, cuts or wounds during the time.

The Bottom Line

Never compromise on the cost if you have decided to microblade your brows. Instead, spend a little more money and be surely satisfied with the results. Do your research and consult a specialist before going for it; you will get better, realistic eyebrows in no time.
