The decision to abandon the CMF Phone 3 Pro may have left some Nothing followers dissatisfied, but the company appears to have other ideas waiting in the wings. Co-founder Akis Evangelidis has hinted that fresh products are on the horizon, and recent teasers seem to support that view. Attention has now shifted to what looks like the beginning of a new “b” series, with growing speculation that the next device could arrive as the Nothing Phone (4b).

Interest first gathered after Nothing’s global account shared a puzzling post containing only the letter “(b),” inviting more questions than answers. The latest teaser from Nothing India, released with the caption “(b)usted,” offers a little more to examine. Though the clip is brief, it reveals fragments of the handset’s exterior and strengthens the belief that the company is preparing to introduce an entirely new addition to its lineup.

Latest Teasers Reveal Early Details About the Rumored Nothing Phone (4b)

A few days ago, Nothing India posted a teaser built around the Pokémon Blastoise. At first it looked like another playful hint. Now the separate clues begin to fit together. Blastoise may simply serve as the internal codename for the Phone (4b), with the letter “b” offering the clearest link. Nothing has yet to reveal the official name or the hardware, but the latest teaser says more than it first appears to.

The video shows someone sketching a handset with the transparent back that has become one of the company’s trademarks. Internal components remain visible beneath the surface, much as they do on earlier models. Near the end, the camera lingers on a row of pencils marked “2b,” “3b,” and “5b.” The slot for “4b” stands out, drawing attention without a word.

The camera layout may provide the strongest clue of all. Instead of the dual or triple systems found on recent Nothing devices, this phone seems to carry only one rear sensor. That choice could signal a push toward a lower price rather than extra hardware. It also recalls Carl Pei’s earlier argument that one or two capable cameras serve users better than a collection of decorative lenses. Before the Nothing Phone (1) arrived, he made that case in public. The company now appears ready to follow the same line again.

Possible Price Range and Market Positioning

The price of the rumoured Nothing Phone (4b) is unknown outside the company. But the clues suggest a logical inference. The single rear camera indicates that Nothing might be looking to appeal to the masses. The brand’s cheapest handset is currently the Phone (3a) Lite, which was launched at Rs 20,999. Since then, the price of memory has been climbing up the market, as have the cost of the components. Now it is being sold for more than Rs 25,000.

The Phone (4b) might be a more straightforward method, then. Nothing would have been able to invest in the things that people use every day, instead of adding additional lenses to the back. Smooth performance matters. Long battery life is important. Clean software matters. One good camera is worth more than many poor ones that are just to extend a specification sheet.

The company may have a ready market for the Phone (4b) if it can sell it at a price of Rs 20,000 or so. Many buyers wish for a handset that looks different, functions well, and doesn’t put a strain on their finances. The latest teasers also suggest that there may be a news release in the near future. If you’re thinking of purchasing an affordable smartphone, you might want to hold off just a bit longer.

Final Words

While some fans were left disappointed with the absence of the anticipated CMF Phone 3 Pro, it seems that the company is not planning to slow down anytime soon. The latest teasers suggest that the phone might be a Nothing Phone (4b) which may be more functional than flashy in terms of specs.

But if the clues are correct, the Phone (4b) could be a different way: a camera, a transparent design, and features that are important in everyday life. That simplicity might be its advantage in a market awash with smartphones with multiple lenses to shoot a nature documentary.

There are a lot of questions yet to be answered, such as the official name and price for now. However, with teasers being released in quick succession, there could be a declaration soon. In the meantime, those looking to purchase a budget smartphone may want to hold off on opening their wallets and turn on their curiosity.
