Lenovo has added three gaming notebooks to its Indian portfolio with the launch of the Legion Gen 11 range. The new generation includes updated Legion 5i and Legion 5a models, along with the newly introduced LOQ 15AHP11. The company announced the machines in India on Thursday, with all three carrying Nvidia’s latest GeForce RTX 50-series graphics hardware.

The Legion 5i (2026) and Legion 5a (2026) share a 15.3-inch OLED screen, with the panel supporting refresh rates as high as 165Hz. The choice of processor separates the two Legion machines. AMD hardware powers the Legion 5a, whereas Lenovo has selected an Intel processor for the Legion 5i. The LOQ 15AHP11 also comes with an RTX 50-series GPU, putting the three laptops in the same broad graphics generation.

The Legion 5i (2026) will cost at least Rs. 2,65,990 in India. For buyers looking at the AMD-powered Legion 5a (2026), the entry point is Rs. 2,25,990. The newly launched LOQ 15AHP11 sits below the two Legion models in price, starting at Rs. 1,99,990 in the country.

Lenovo is selling all three new laptops through its Indian online store. Each model comes in several hardware variants. The two Legion laptops share the same colour. Buyers can get the Legion 5a (2026) and Legion 5i (2026) in Eclipse Black. The LOQ 15AHP11 has a different finish. Lenovo sells it only in Luna Grey.

Legion 5i and 5a Hardware, Display and Gaming Features

Lenovo uses Intel silicon in one and AMD hardware in the other. The Legion 5i (2026) can be configured with an Intel Core Ultra 7 356H processor. It also carries the LA1 and LA3 AI core chips. The Legion 5a (2026) instead uses an AMD Ryzen 7 250 processor and an LA1 AI core chip.

Graphics options are shared to a large extent. Both machines can come with Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5060, which has 8GB of GDDR7 video memory. Lenovo also gives the Legion 5a an RTX 5050 option.

Heat is another concern with a powerful laptop. Lenovo addresses it with the Hyper Legion Coldfront thermal system, which works to keep temperatures under control and reduce throttling during demanding workloads. Memory and storage can also be substantial. Both laptops support up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM and as much as 2TB of M.2 PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage.

Both Legion models have an 80Wh battery and weigh roughly 1.87kg. They also support modern wireless standards, including Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Their displays share the same basic size and resolution, too. Lenovo uses a 15.3-inch WQXGA OLED panel with a 16:10 layout. It can reach 165Hz and deliver up to 500 nits of brightness.

There are, however, a few differences between the machines. The Legion 5i (2026) supports Rapid Charge Pro, while the Legion 5a does not. Lenovo has also designed the 5i with a removable rear panel, allowing users to swap it when required.

The LOQ 15AHP11 uses an IPS LCD rather than the OLED panel found on the Legion models. Its larger display configuration measures 15.3 inches and has WQXGA resolution. It can run at up to 180Hz. Lenovo also sells the laptop with a more modest WUXGA panel. That 15.3-inch version reaches a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz.

Under the hood, the LOQ 15AHP11 combines AMD’s Ryzen 7 250 with Nvidia graphics. The machine can be configured with a GeForce RTX 5060 and 8GB of GDDR7 memory. Lenovo has also added its LA1 AI core chip.

The rest of the hardware follows the pattern set by the Legion Gen 11 range. The laptop can match those machines for maximum RAM and SSD capacity. Lenovo uses its Hyperchamber Cooling system to deal with heat. A 60Wh battery supplies the power, while Rapid Charge Pro handles faster charging.

The LOQ is not a light machine. It weighs about 2.1kg. Its wireless connections are also a generation behind the newer Legion models, with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 support.
