1) Google Docs is an online word processing program that can be used to edit documents, spreadsheets, and slide shows. 2) Zoho Docs is another good online word processor that supports collaboration and sharing via email. The website also has a text editor, a presentation maker, a spreadsheet creator, and a form designer/generator. Like Google Docs, the service is free for 100 documents. Upgrading will cost you $12 per user per year – great value if your company uses Zoho Docs on a regular basis!

3) A1office document editor: A1 Office, one of the most intuitive and easy-to-use office suites, aims to offer a range of cross platform tools for end users to perform countless operations on their files on any device. The platform aims to deliver ad-free docx editor and editing apps to end users with a free and simple interface for easy usage.

4) Office Web Apps allows you to create most document types without needing any special software at all. This includes spreadsheets and presentations as well as documents created from scratch or templates. You can download files in different formats, including .docx, .pdf, and .xls. However, the maximum number of files you can have in each cloud folder is 500MB. The service also has mobile apps for Android, iOS, Windows Phone 8, Kindle Fire HDX 7″ tablet & Fire phone.

5) Quip is a word processing service that allows you to work with others on the same document at the same time. It has chat and task functions built into its interface, making it easy for teams to stay in touch while they create documents together. The main drawback of this cloud-based solution is that you can’t download your files or save them in your Google Drive account after they’re finished.

6) Office Online lets you create new documents in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Publisher using templates for each type. You’ll also be able to access recently edited documents from any device via OneDrive or SharePoint. That means you won’t have to worry about backing up your files on a basis! Furthermore, if an Office Online feature is missing, you can always use the programs on your computer to create or edit documents.

7) Syncplicity lets you store files for one to 10 users per folder. You’ll receive 250MB of storage space for free, but this will go up if you invite colleagues to join the service. There are mobile apps available for Android and iOS devices, making it easy for you to view your documents anywhere that has an Internet connection.

8) Box is another file-sharing service similar to Google Drive. It allows you to work on Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF files with others at the same time via its web browser interface or mobile apps for Android or iOS devices. The free version gives you 10GB of cloud storage space, which will go up to 100GB if you’re a Box for Business customer.

9) SugarSync is another online file-sharing service that lets you store 5GB of data for free, upgradable to 50GB per user. Unlike Google Drive and Box, it doesn’t have any document creation tools built into its interface. Instead, the website is mainly intended for browsing through your existing files. However, one nice thing about SugarSync is that there are no size limits when sharing files with others!

10) iCloud Drive does not have an official cloud-based word processor yet (as of July 2014), but Apple’s Pages app will let you create new documents on your iPhone or iPad device. You can also use iCloud to access and edit your files on other devices – just be sure to sign in with the same Apple ID. The downside of iCloud is that it’s so restricted and inaccessible to outside developers, meaning there aren’t as many tools available as other online suites provide.
