iQOO is likely to introduce its new flagship smartphone, the iQOO 15T, in China later this month. The company is also expected to launch the iQOO Pad 6 Pro tablet and the iQOO TWS 5i earbuds at the same event. Though the official announcement is still pending, recent leaks have already disclosed much of the phone’s hardware.
Reports suggest the handset will run on MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9500 chipset, while a listing on China Telecom has revealed details concerning the display, camera system, battery capacity, and storage variants. Another report from a well-known tipster points to a strong emphasis on gaming performance.
Early Leak Shows iQOO Focusing Heavily on Smooth Gameplay and Thermal Control
According to tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the iQOO 15T may ship with a customised “Monster” edition of the Dimensity 9500 processor. The phone is also tipped to feature iQOO’s self-developed Q3 gaming chip. This secondary chip is expected to improve graphical output and maintain smoother frame rates during demanding games.

The tipster also shared early gaming results for the phone. In one test, the iQOO 15T ran Genshin Impact for half an hour at 60fps with the graphics pushed to the highest setting. The room temperature stood at 26 degrees Celsius. The phone, it is claimed, held an average frame rate of 60.2fps through the session. The one percent low fell to 57.8fps, while the lowest recorded frame rate touched 58fps. Average power draw came to 4.99W.
Telecom Database Listing Reveals Display, Cameras, Battery, and Software Details
The iQOO 15T has reportedly surfaced in China Telecom’s product database. The listing links the device to MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chip, which carries the model number MT6993. Reports also claim the handset will carry a large 8,000mAh battery and support 100W wired charging. Wireless charging, however, may not make the cut.
The phone is expected to feature a 6.82-inch OLED display. Earlier reports say the panel will offer 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The listing gives the dimensions as 163.37 x 76.71 x 8.25mm. The device is said to weigh 216g.
iQOO 15T Camera

The iQOO 15T is also said to carry a dual rear camera setup. Reports point to a 200-megapixel main sensor paired with a 50-megapixel secondary camera. On the front, the phone may use a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls. Images attached to the listing show a flat display and a square camera module set in the upper-left corner of the rear panel.
The listing further claims that the handset will run Android 16 with OriginOS 6 laid over it. iQOO may release the phone in several memory variants. These include 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 256GB, and 16GB + 512GB models. The company could also offer the device in Qingyun, Track Edition, and Legendary Edition colour options.
China Telecom’s database reportedly marks May 20 as the launch date for the iQOO 15T in China. The event may also see the arrival of the iQOO Pad 6 Pro tablet and the iQOO TWS 5i earbuds.
Final Words
The iQOO 15T is emerging as a smartphone that’s looking to do it all, whether it’s for gaming or for extended battery endurance. iQOO is set to woo players who believe “just one more match” is a perfectly acceptable bedtime routine with a Dimensity 9500 “Monster” processor, a dedicated Q3 gaming processor, a big 8,000mAh battery, and a 144Hz display.
If the leaked specs are accurate, the phone could become one of the more aggressive premium gaming phone rivals in China. Benchmark claims and early tests are only a part of the picture, of course. The actual performance, camera quality and software optimisation will be the determining factors in whether the iQOO 15T is a true flagship model.
