Trade shows can mean big business and big opportunities for many businesses. As a result, it isn’t out of character to attend multiple trade shows each year. Though it is possible that the same attendees visit the trade show as it travels from city to city, it is very unlikely. What that means is that you can simplify your attendance by making one winning trade show experience you can then use again and again. 

To do just that, use these top tips to help you direct your efforts.

Choose Banners that Can Be Quickly Transported 

A banner or a flag is a great way to draw the eye and let potential customers or clients know who you are and what you do from a distance. In short, it’s very important for any trade show, regardless of whether you’re hosting a talk or have a booth. What many forget about when it comes to these banners is how easy they are to travel with and how well they store. You can hang a banner up, but if your only solution is to fold it or roll it up without even considering how you’ll protect the edges, then your banners are certain to look worse for wear by the end of the circuit.

Instead, invest in banner stands. These eye-catching and, most importantly, portable banner stands make it easy, safe, and effective to reuse the same banners regularly throughout the year. 

Add Interactive Elements to Your Display 

Trade shows can get boring. Many booths are just people standing behind a table with some documents around them, waiting for people to give them the time of day so they can say their piece. This is the worst way to share information, so instead, make it interactive. You can have a demo, create a short workshop, or even just have physical pieces that guests can touch and interact with. What you can do specifically will entirely be up to what you offer, but always try to get your audience actively engaging with your pitch. 

Offer Snacks and Refreshments

If you want passers-by to stop and engage with you, then you need to give them a reason. A great way to do just that is to offer snacks and refreshments. If you offer these on plates and in glasses that guests need to return when they’re done, you can even encourage them to stay and, ideally, hear your pitch. 

Invite Guests to an After-Show Party or Event

To really seal the deal, try to get them to attend another event, only this one is hosted by you. A textile company, for example, can partner with local designers and host a fashion-week-inspired event to get those attendees back into your space, only this time they get to see your product in action. Consider how you can do something similar with your own brand. After all, getting people to return to your brand gives you a greater chance of making sales and partnerships than a single one-off meeting ever could.
